Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge is positioned in Chobe National Park, just a 45 minute drive away from Savuti. It’s position high up in the hills allows for some of the most spectacular views that Botswana has to offer, while the lodge itself is the perfect combination of luxury and comfort. These are just some of the reasons why Ghoha Hils is our lodge of the month!
We were lucky enough to visit Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge for lunch while passing through and to have a look around. The managers are warm and welcoming, inviting you to make yourself at home. The lounge and dining area consists of soft and neutral tones and completely open sides to maximise the views. Meanwhile, the waterhole in front attracts an array of wildlife and allows for game viewing from the lodge itself. We were lucky to witness a passing elephant stop for a drink.
After a delicious, filing lunch we went to have a look at the rooms. Spacious en suite canvas rooms offer views which could be cut out and put on a postcard, while the private deck is ideal for relaxing between activities.
Ghoha Hills offers daily game drives in the area or a full day excursion to the Savuti marsh. As a result, the lodge manages to give you both the exclusivity of being away from the lodges and campsites by the marsh, yet still allowing guests to enjoy the Savuti experience.
