Just letting you know that we just got home today and had the most extraordinary experiences in Botswana and Zimbabwe. We saw tons of animals including wild dogs 6 separate times, including a pack of 17, and followed 2 hunts to completion. We also saw at least 30 lions including a successful hunts on a giraffe and on baboons, as well as cheetas and leopards. The elephants in Chobe were unbelievable. We are birders, and saw all the local birds including many hawks, owls and the colorful birds of the area, higlighted by lilac breasted rollers, carmine and white fronted beeeaters, many types of kingfishers, and endangered slaty egrets and wattled cranes. and a scarlet chested sunbird. All of our connections were very smooth and all the guides did a great job. We are planning another trip to the area in September, 2011, and will surely ask you for assistance in planning.
